One of "the sons of Annas" that had "strange wives" (I Esd. ix. 32). The name can not be identified with any in the corresponding list of Ezra x. 32. It is, most probably, a combination of the last part of "Maluch" with the first part of "Shemariah," names found in the Ezra list, the remaining syllables of these names having been elided.
