RATNER, ISAAC:
Russian mathematician; born at Shklov in 1857. He has written mathematical and astronomical articles for various journals, and is the author of "Mishpaṭ Emet" (St. Petersburg, 1884), a criticism on Lichtenfeld's pamphlets against Slonimski's works. He edited a second edition of Slonimski's "Yesode Ḥokmat ha-Shi'ur," on the principles of algebra (Wilna, 1888).
